i honestly don’t like saying the things i’m thankful for but this year i think i will.
i’ll list them. and possibly give a reason:
Haley - she’s always there for me and i couldn’t ask for a better best friend. i just wish i could see her more often.
Amanda - she helped me with my little problem and even pushed it along. i am really grateful for that. (:
Blondie - he’s cute. and i love him. (:
My parents - even though we don’t always see eye-to-eye, i love them. they’re just trying to help me get through my life. i could say a lot about them but i’ll just leave it at that.
Hedal - (shush, amanda) despite what many people think about him, he’s great. (: first a great friend and now a great boyfriend. you’ll just have to trust me on this.
Harry Potter - i’m just so thankful that harry potter is in my life. (: it’s… magical. and gah. (:
Jake - he’s actually my next best guy friend. and i’m glad i met him. we went through some weird and uncomfortable times. but we are still friends. thanks, amanda, for introducing us! xD
My other friends (i.e. Sarah Mori, Ashley Bayer, Jessica Wayman, Julienne Depp (teehee) Helen Ayalew, Torie Apple, etc) - i love you, guys. you’ve been awesome! and i hope we’re friends for many more holiday seasons!

Yesterday, I unwillingly went to the New Moon premiere. Right as the movie was about to end my friend runs up to the screen and screams " I'm really happy for you New Moon and I'm gonna let you finish but Harry Potter was the best movie of all time" and then ran through the emergency exit. Today we got a physics test back that I just knew I failed. While taking the test, on the bottom of it I drew a tombstone that said RIP my Physics grade and the dates from the first day of class to that day. I even drew a small dead bouquet at the bottom. My teacher gave me 5 extra points for the drawing and I passed the test. MLIA.
Today, my friend and I went to see New Moon, but dressed as wizards. We told the cashier we were from the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. They let us in for free. MLIA.
Today, for my grandpa's birthday, he legally changed his name to Gandalf. Our last name is Grey. MLIA
Today, my english teacher was explaining vocabulary words. When the word 'lupine' came up, some of the kids said that it sounded like "the name of that teacher from Harry Potter who's a wolf." Annoyed, I was about to correct their gross inaccuracy, but a freshman at his locker overheard and beat me to it: "He's not a wolf - he's a werewolf. And he's also named Remus after the twin of Romulus from the Greek myth about babies who were taken in by wolves. Lupine means 'wolf-like.' Vocabulary's easy." I love freshmen. MLIA.

Today, when I went up to my teachers desk to turn in an in-class essay we had been writing, I happened to glance down at the stack of essays that had already been turned in. The paper on top was only about half a sheet. The last sentence read 'My pencil has run out of lead, so the rest of this essay will be invisible.' I love school. MLIA
Today, I was on Mystery Google and received a secret mission. I have to capture someone's garden gnome and then take pictures of it in different locations. Then return the gnome and put the printed photos on their doorstep. This is going to be the highlight of my week. MLIA
Today, while I was sitting in math, the people around me were discussing what they were going to do over Thanksgiving break. One girl said, very seriously, that she was going to go "Comcasting". This is apparently where you take your universal Comcast remote and stand outside of windows, changing the channel and confusing the people watching. I was planning on spending my break sleeping, but I think this may just be better. MLIA.
Today I was correcting tests, I'm a TA, and one kid had drawn a picture of an elephant over a question and written "An elephant is blocking this question so I can't answer it. Sorry." I responded by drawing a lion eating the elephant and writing "Unfortunately, Mufasa, the red correcting pen lion, has eaten your elephant so now the question is blank and wrong. Sorry." Today, my brother called me to ask if I could find a turkey costume for him. Why? He plans to wear it for a marathon on Thanksgiving. What he doesn't know is that I found a pilgrim's costume as well, and plan to chase him with a fork and knife for the entire four miles. Needless to say, I can't wait for Thanksgiving. MLIA

Today, I was taking a test on the play Julius Caesar. It was multiple choice and one of the questions was what was Caesar's last words. One of the possible answers was "Holy sh*t! Why are you stabbing me?!" I think my English teacher is more awesome than I thought. MLIA
Today, the teacher of my earth science class was lecturing on map reading. After explaining about latitude, longitude, degrees and minutes the teacher asked, "Suppose I asked you to meet me for lunch at 23 degrees, 4 minutes north latitude and 45 degrees, 15 minutes east longitude?" After a confused silence, a voice volunteered, "I guess you'd be eating alone." MLIA
Today, the guy I like asked me out. I've had bad taste in guys before, but I thought he would be different, so I said yes. Tomorow we are baking and decorating dinosaur shaped cookies, after which they will battle and we will feast on the cookie/frosting carnage. I think I'm getting better at this. MLIA

Today, three of my closest guy friends had come to visit me in the hospital. Not too long ago I was diagnosed with cancer and I had lost all of my hair. They came in with flowers, shaved heads, a smile and said, "You're beautiful to us, even if you don't think so. We're in this together." GMH.

Several years back, I passed by an elderly man with crutches hobbling onto an interstate on-ramp. I stopped and asked the man if I could give him a ride. Today, I found out there is a restaurant in New York called Ninja, where servers dressed as ninjas run around and steal forks and misplace things on your table. Also, there is a separate ninja entrance and the whole restaurant is recreated like you're eating in a ninja temple. Never have I been more jealous of people that live in New York than I am right now. MLIA.
